Is The Sleep Routines Course Right For Me?

This course is suitable for anyone who is struggling with falling & staying asleep or who is unhappy with the quality of sleep they are getting. You may feel alert at bedtime or unable to let go of your worries which is keeping you awake. You might be unsure of what advice to listen to. You might feel dread and frustration and think negatively around bedtime.

This course is not suitable if you struggle with the following: Insomnia, sleep apnoea, menopause, long term health conditions, nightmares, sleep medication management or shift working.

This course will help you:

  • Understand what your sleep issues are and learn to retrain your circadian rhythm.
  • Fall asleep faster and reduce tossing and turning in bed.
  • Develop helpful sleep habits and routines to promote rest and relaxation.
  • Challenge any unhelpful beliefs and anxious thoughts about sleep.
  • Make lifestyle and environmental changes to promote a restful sleep.

The booklet contains exercises and worksheets which are designed to help you over the weeks make consistent change that will last.

What is involved?

You will receive 7 short videos that cover a different technique or element of sleep management. Success requires regular and consistent practice of the techniques you will learn. Changes are designed to be implemented over a number of weeks, there are no quick fixes. You will gain access to a Facebook support group for ongoing motivation.

When might this course not be helpful?

    If you are experiencing any major life stressors or difficult situations that you feel are causing your sleep issues, then it is recommended to wait until these issues are resolved before signing up for this course. This is because poor sleep is a normal reaction to stress, grief and trauma etc. when that particular problem is solved your sleep is likely to improve. 

    If you feel that you cannot commit to practising the techniques and engage in some reflection time (15 minutes daily is recommended) then now may not be the right time to complete this course.
